Sutra 2.6: The seer is not the Seer

ग्दर्शनशक्त्योरेकात्मतैवास्मिता ॥६॥

dṛg-darśana-śaktyoḥ-eka-ātmatā-iva-asmitā ||6||

"Asmita is the identity as it were of the purusha with the buddhi."

The purpose of this sutra is to explain the source of 'I' ness, false self-identification with the senses of perception.
